I used to get my custom ID removed not because it was rude or obscene but because a mod was a Halfwit fan. She could so did was my impression. That is just wrong - the rules say you can dislike a HM but cannot disrespect a FM. My custom only hit on Halfwit.

I think there is nothing wrong with the staff this forum has, in fact generally speaking I have nothing but praise for all them.

How would you like to see the site owner implement your idea, open up a competition so that people can nominate and vote their mates, or would you like people to volunteer and then forum members vote for them?

How about this for a novel idea, why dont we let the owner site admin and moderating staffs decide this sort of thing based on workloads, staff available through a 24 hour period and whether there are suitable unbiaised members of the forum who would be willing to give up their time in order to assist in the smooth running of the forums?

Half of the members wouldn't be good, I could think of a few great candidates but half of the regulars are hyperactive 13 year olds with more time on their hands then sense. It's better to bring in 1 or 2 new mods then to replace ones that are doing a good job.

I like the fact that the moderators can moderate and interact with the forum like any other member. I don't think there is a single problem with the current bunch of moderators.

Why dont you just PM the site owner and offer your services.

Another suggestion, I hope you dont mind, if you do have an axe to grind with a member of staff or even another member of the forum, either make a complaint or take it to PM with said member.

The ones that stay as mods have experience, are quicker and generally fairer, more tolerant than a new mod. Plus they also know the quirks of the system they use.

They know the shortcuts, and how to carry out functions on the mod panel etc.

In short they are generally a whole lot better than new inexperienced mods.

Thats not saying there is no room on the forum for a few more mods.

At the moment there's Ben - very active, knows when enough is enough and a generally nice guy; Vicky - also active, great sense of humour, isn't too trigger-happy (although I notice a few of the trolls have issue with her, I wonder why ;)); Greg - some dick; Laura - who's only really a problem if Mark Owen goes mad with a katana; James - whose 'catchphrases' provide Jessica and thebeast with 80% of their "material"; Daren - some dick; Kaz - some babe; Mark - ... and that's enough really.

Oh and Ben - I can't see ukturtle coming back unless he's confirmed he will, because he's still in Australia. Dunno about Marc.

D2 I dont know if it escaped your notice but the lady's name is Vicky, if you want her to even listen to your pleas i would drop the incorrect spelling of her name.

Sometimes bad things happen to good people. Thing is if you knew anything about the forum you would realise Moderators dont ban people, admins do so basically you are complaining to the wrong person. Also prior to the ban being put on the admin staff review the posts involved which are kept on the staff forum for clarity and review, then decide if a ban or even an infraction was fairly awarded.
