French football legend, Zinedine Zidane, is the latest player to be added to the star-studded list of household names appearing at this summer's Soccer Aid 2010.

The match, which will take place on Sunday, 6th June 2010 at Manchester United's legendary stadium, Old Trafford, will also feature star turns from celebrities and ex-pros including Alan Shearer, Ricky Hatton, Jamie Redknapp, Gordon Ramsay, Henrik Larsson, oh… and of course a certain Mr Williams, too!

Robbie, who is A UNICEF UK ambassador and the mastermind behind Soccer Aid, said about Zidane's appearance: "I can't believe he's playing, I'm over the moon. I won't know whether to shake his hand or lick his face."

Zidane, who was a central figure in France's World Cup 1998 and Euro 2000 cup winning squads, also scored the winning goal for Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final in 2002. The ex-Galactico won the prestigious FIFA World Player of the Year and Ballon d'Or titles during his illustrious career. Not bad, eh?!

Watch out Robbie and the England XI: the Rest Of The World Soccer Aid 2010 squad have enlisted the help of a galaxy of superstars for this year's glitzy turf war, including Welsh movie star Michael Sheen, ex-Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann and Ronan Keating.

Sheen, who played legendary manager Brian Clough in the biopic The Damned United, will be joined on the Rest Of The World team by new recruits Boyzone singer Ronan Keating, TV presenter Gethin Jones, and actor James Kyson-Lee, who plays Ando in Heroes.

The squad, who will be managed by legendary Liverpool stars Kenny Dalglish and Ian Rush, also stars Gordon Ramsay, comedian Patrick Kielty, Westlife members Shane Filan and Nicky Byrne and cricketing legend Brian Lara. Ex-pros include Henrik Larsson and the outspoken ex-Arsenal goalie Jens Lehmann.

Last week we revealed the exciting news that superstar French footballer, Zinedine Zidane, will also be putting his golden boots back on for 90 minutes to help the Rest of the World XI against a star-studded England team which includes Euro '96 foursome Alan Shearer, Teddy Sheringham, David Seaman and Jamie Redknapp.

Those in the England squad adding a dash of celebrity sizzle to the proceedings include Robbie (of course!), Ben Shephard, Bradley Walsh, Jamie Theakston and Damian Lewis, plus Gavin and Stacey star James Corden will be the assistant manager.

In another intriguing on-the-pitch contest better suited to the boxing ring, the gloves are off as undefeated Welsh world champion Joe Calzaghe pits his wits against English light welterweight champ Ricky 'The Hitman' Hatton. Ding ding!
