I always love to speculate how Davina will open the show, so lets post some of our own ideas, and while we're at it, vote for out favourite?

BB3: Sat in diary room is scilence... hello, I've been expecting you.
BB4: 10 second countdown... it's back.
BB5: 1 house, 12 housemates, and a whole world of pain.
BB6: You didn't think Big Brother would ever be nice, did you?
BB7: Viewers, you have sixteen seconds to say goodbye to your summer, Big Brother's coming to get you!
BB8: [there wasn't one]
BB9: Dyah' know what? Britain's not got talent. [Wtf?]
BB10: Tonight 16 people move into that house, they have no idea that non of them are housemates [really long and had no dramatic effect whatsoever]

Big Brother 11: Older and wiser? Pfft, older and harsher.

Oh and my fave was BB7 because that was the first time I watched an entire full series, and I remember her saying it :p

Agreed it failed.

I voted BB9 because it was the first time BB had to be moved because of BGT, i liked the cheeky dig at it :p

The funniest thing and for whatever reason that silly moment is right stuck in my memory.
There really was this long yet entirely 'non-event' empty pause hahahha

The stupid thing is that 'on paper' I would have agreed the idea was perfect and helpful and necessary (the non-housemate idea),
but,
Just as Davina 'predicted' it because something of a 'non-starter' and for that matter there was (except for Sree) a long dramatic no-effect pause in the house for what seemed like a week or two.

Anyways,
My vote is for 'Say good-bye to Summer' because the moment I hear Davinas voice for the first time... yep. that IS what I think.

Let me say it again - I DONT love Davina (personally) and I would not hang out with her and probably disagree with her on ANYthing,
yet,
There is never a moments doubt she 'IS BB' and that she was BORN FOR THIS and what I love most - she doesn't have 'catchphrase openings',
she may say something silly,
she will love what she is doing,
She will think of something to say 10 seconds before they are on,
and,
every once in a while an inexplicable non-dramatic long pause haha great!

I figure she says something like "At last... we find out if the last really won't be least... at least?" (makes cringey face).

I also hope she has lost some PC and on-air etiquette boundaries and just loses her mind laughing at things like BB9 Kat trying to climb stairs.

Definitely something like this hehe!

The strange thing (im told was NOT strange if you knew the backstory) but BB9 had the 'last hurrah' feeling.
BB9 felt like everyone was going to give it that one last UMPH!

BB10 just had this 'also-ran' feeling. Like the series was supposed to be over but for some reason they were told to use up left-overs and slap one together to fill the air.
BB10 felt like everyone in BB - including Davina - were meant to be on vacation but got called back.
Some say it was as if they 'phoned it in'.

I am really hoping THIS will be the 'BB9' type of feeling but even moreso. Really put the icing on the cake here.
Wrap this up big.
Not a 'lets get this over with' feel like BB10 but a real last hurrah effort to go out in top style!

Maybe because this time Davina KNOWS its the last she does just kinda let it all out and spares nothing and just enjoys the hell out of it.
It really shines through when you can see she genuinely is enjoying it.

I really do hope this goes that way?

Do you think it may go wrong?
Maybe Davina sees this as Friday 3pm before a long weekend and just tossles together a minimum effort to 'get it over with'?

Not really grabbing viewers, was it? I suspect the low key intro was because the show was preceded by an Ofcom statement giving channel 4 an official bollocking over the Jade-Shilpa incident.

It is hard to follow a national embarrassment.

I don't mean the incident itself. I mean that media all over the world was reporting (in near disbelief) that the UK had absolutely lost its mind in PC and thought-policing.
I remember a number of US programs where the pundits used it as an example of how far it can go and even the most 'PC' of their crowd was rolling their eyes in disbelief and shame.

So yeah.. poor Davina has to pull off a welcome after a national shaming. Yikes.
What else could she do?

Agree completely, I think they got fed up with BB10 half way through it when the ratings fell and they just wanted it to end soon.

BB9 would be good for a final season, I mean if I had my way I would of put BB10 in 2008 and BB9 in 2009, and have BB9 as the final season as it would go out with a bang if it was BB9 as the final series.

But then again we havent seen BB11, Davina says shes just going to have so much fun with it and not care about anything and send it out with a proper 'BANG' ..Yes she shouted Bang LOL

Mine would be something like..

That was my feeling too. I was SO hoping they got another try because it seemed like a shame that BB9 was the one with the big 'going out on top' finale feeling,
yet,
BB10 had that.. yeah.. "lets get this crap over with" feeling. I did not want the series to end that way.
It would have been BETTER if BB9 was the last,
but,
As you say we do get one more chance to make THIS the real capper, the real big once-and-for-all great ending.

Ah.. I think Davina can do it!
