Anyone else watch Bizarre ER? (BBC3)
Anyway, many gamers will know gaming can cause injuries and RSI's but apparently a doctor has diagnosed a case of 'wiiitis' to someone with severe joint injuries from playing the Wii. Games consoles, especially the Wii, are a cause for concern. I'm sure you've all seen the Wii and can understand why. I have one and was in agony for days after a bout on boxing  I've never had such a work out!!
Anyone else had or know of anyone with 'game pain' ?? Funnies and wii-motes flung through windows by accident welcome :D

I don't like the games that are too strenuous, so I've never been hurt thankfully.

I've woken up after playing boxing on the Wii as if I've literally been kicked from head to foot  Thankfully once you get used to it it stops happening. Some work-out though

On Christmas morning a few years ago, I was playing Cooking Mama for the Wii.
Love that game.
And there was a part where you have to crack the eggs or somthing.
And I was trying to do it and they kept breaking so I kept hitting them harder just because the 'Mama' in the game kept pissing me off.
And then I didnt have the Wii Remote Strapped on, so I titled (Through it) to the side to crack and egg and it went flying over to the Christmas Tree.
Similar situation happened in Summer, I was playing Tennis and obviously the controls are abit diffrent instead of tilting the remote you have to aim it forward and that.
So I went to hit the ball and the Wii Remote literally flew out of my hand and hit the TV.
I was so scared because I thought it broke, it was okay though but the noise that remote made when it hit the TV was shocking LOL

You know just because it's called boxing day, it doesn't mean you have to box all day

I hardly use mine, I have a ski game for it. It just seems like hassel to set it up, so I don't bother

The thing is that with the Wii you don't need to do the motions so strenously, smaller motions do the job just fine. Unless you're playing Wii Fit which defies the point if you don't do it properly

True, I use to get so into it but now a days I just sit there lieing on the sofa with the remote and tilt it slightly when infact I should be up jumping about the living room :joker:
It takes the fun out of it though I suppose :(

I know you don't have to actually do the motions but it's bloody boring if you don't :D Part of the fun is actively playing it

I guess it depends on the game really, although Wii Plus enabled games require more energetic motions.
