View Full Version : When Do We Want The BB11 Hype To Start?

Some people are wating eagerly for the start of bb11 and the ad campagins, but when do we feel is the right time to start them?:

A Week Before?
Two Weeks Before?
Three Weeks Before?
A Month Or More?


This can really benifit to how a series is brought up in the media... not much given away or leaked... more hype on the night? Or just no media attention?

(PS: I know certain members wont like me doing this, but i made a really REALLY crap mocked bb11 trailer... no based on the graveyard theme, but just the idea of big brother... i might try to make one using the graveyard pictures but make them move? anyway.... thats it)

I want the hype to start right now, so assuming the series begins on June 10th, Then yeah a month before.

The sooner the better.

BTW Love that trailer, would love to see more.

Now! this time last year we had the eye and the hype had definetly started to kick in, this years its pretty dead hopefully next week when the eye is released there will be more intrest.

Great ad btw cant wait till they start :D

I think it reminds people about BB tbh, once the eye is released heat normally go get the aerial shots :elephant:

But the eye was leaked last year so would we rather a leaked eye? or a countdown and a nice ad or maybe one single eye flash on channel 4 like inbetween Glee this friday or somthing, and then the eye comes out on the Sunday?

i forgot last years eye was leaked. i hope somebody at applause store ****s up and does it again preferably tonight lol

LOL Same but AS got in deep **** with BB and C4 for doing that last year :joker:


Btw guys have we ever got an Eye Flash BEFORE the Eye is released?

I was thinking this, i think it would be great if they did the eye flashes before the eye was released. It would cause loads of speculation :hugesmile:

would be very cool and a massive build up as people would be trying to piece together the theme of the series, the eye, maybe even have eye flashes of the house... like we use to but a lot shorter?

Yeah this would be great :D

If they used the 1 second ads like last year which didnt show the actual eye, everyone was unsure whether they were BB or not.

For the house shots they could like show a room but have it all distorted with weird BB music playing :D & I really hope they bring back the full house ads!

Dont worry the House Ads will be back, the only reson they didnt return for BB10 was because the house wasnt finished, well obviously that was part of the horrible twist.

Thats a good point, it was the launch twist so no need for house ad!!? ahh it all makes sence now!

I want the hype to start as soon as possible, i feel there not been enough this year, compare to previous years it does seems really slow for the rumors coming.

Not too soon before launch night.

Last year we had the 1st official press release on May 11th for a June 4th start, so if BB11 is starting June 6th-10th (i.e. between BGT & The World Cup) then the hype will be starting anytime from today onwards.

Hope your right, i cant wait to start hearing rumors, i just love all the buildup & hype when BB is just about to start, its just brilliant.

I have made a new "tralierrrrrrr" with the pictures from the shoot, i tried to use the ones that didnt look like backstage and more like the real thing :)
