I ordered an iPad 32GB Wi-fi only, it's going to be delivered on the 28th, I'm so excited, haha. (I'm an Apple snob by the way, it's going to match well with my MacBook and iPhone 3Gs).

Just curious to know, anyone else order an iPad?

I have the iPhone 3GS and iPod Nano. I'll just wait for them to get cheaper. I don't have £400 just to fork out on a new device.

I plan to order one but I'm torn between the 32gb Wi-Fi and the 16gb Wi-Fi + 3G :(

Aha, same here. I just figured, I probably won't take it out much, and if I do, there will more than likely be a Wi-Fi connection, so I guess it's better than having a direct debit going out again. They're already getting enough out of me for the unit itself, the accessories (another £100) and the hellishly expensive apps, haha)

Let me know which when you decide on getting, if you order now, they've been delayed again til' 7th June. I got up extra early to secure mine, lol.

If I order one, which again like Matt I'm torn on... it'll probably be the 16GB1 Wi-Fi + 3G

It's not really necessary to my life and I wasn't sucked in by the marketing hype, so no.

They are the most pointless things ever made, its just a way for Apple to milk this whole 'i' thing to get more and more money.

No one wants one, they will fail epicly compared to everything else Apple have made.

The iPhone, iPod Nano, iPod such and such, and god knows what else.

Why on earth would anyone with a brain PAY money for a fat, chunky iPod when you can get one just as good that actually fits in your pocket.

Because people with expendable income like to buy things they don't need, when it would be much better if all these technological knob goblins spent half the money on the homeless and the other half on having a damn good time.

I'm not a ludite, by the way, I have plenty of tech, but the whole mass market hype of products that you can get by without irks me.

why would anyone donate to skanky homeless people
when the majority of them deserve to be homeless

That's not true. I know a few people in the city who are homeless purely down to the economy and a veritable laundry list of problems outside their control.

I realize that compassion is not as important as Jersey Shore, but we cant all be *****. There needs to be a balance.

Apple sold 1million iPads less than a month after launch. It took them three months to sell the first million iPhones.

I'm not rushing to get one. That's not to say I wouldn't like one, but I already have an iPod and iPhone so I'm not THAT bothered. Like Ross, I might wait until a later stage.

This couldn't be more wrong. Until you have facts to back up your facts to back up your comments, don't comment at all...

Apple have sold one million iPads in 28 days in the US alone, and, like Matt said, it took them three months to do that with the very first iPhone. They've delayed the launch internationally due to strong demand. If that's failing, I'd hate to see what a success is.

I work, the MacBook was brought for me, I'm selling that soon for a MacBook Pro, as I am the iPhone, for the new one. However, I did buy the iPhone myself end of last year.

I also funded the iPad myself, took me just over a month.
