It is awkward for the hairdresser to look after someone in complete silence.

Just pretend you are sleeping while they are cutting your hair.

Nah they usually chat to the other hairdressers or just concentrate.

I haven't gotten it cut in ages, but I'm gonna start going regularly again =/ The last few times they weren't thick enough to start some convo. :p

I hate hairdressers talking to me. I don't like having pointless conversation with people, luckily my hairdresser realises that now and keeps talking to a minimum.

But he says this takes 8 hours at hairdresser and cannot be bothered so will do it himself!

My hairdresser is really friendly anyway so love getting hair cuts! Have been going to the same place and seeing the same girl for about 6 years now as I'm a fuss ass and she's the only one who can do it properly as my hair is so thick.

I hate the small talk in a hairdressers. I like the feeling of it when I close my eyes tho. Although having said that, I used to have a hairdresser who's tits brushed against my face and that was nice.

Anyway, good luck with the cut!

I always think my hair looks **** fresh after the barber's cut it. Takes a couple of days before I like it.

My mams friends daughter cuts my hair (she is like a sister to me) so its not that bad but I hate when I go hairdressers because they just ask questions like "what school do you go to" "oh and you get the bus to school" "what time do you get it at";That and one of the girls is **** so I always try avoid her

They always do that! They cut it really short and square your fringe and they say "now isn't that nice, you look really handsome it brings out your eyes(I wear glasses like 70% of the time)" and I'm like oh yeah thanks and put a fake smile on then when I'm out of the shop I cry about how **** I look

I stopped going to hairdressers, yonks ago. I cut my own hair now. I watched how they did it, then applied that to mine. It saves me money, no silly chat, no waiting on appointments, giving tips, or letting a hairdresser get scissor happy or do a completely different cut to the one you asked for. And don't have to go out in the wind and rain afterwards. I have also cut some of my families hair for them when they have asked me to. I can turn my hand to most things, and rarely let something get the better of me.

I got my haircut today :amazed: first time it has been professionally done in ages and I think it looks really good.

I usually and terrified of the hairdressers but it was a spur of the moment thing and I just went in and got it done. The conversation wasn't even that awkward either, the guy was really cool and chill and did my hair exaclty how I wanted/pictured it.

I think I found myself my first ever regular hairdressers :D

Cool. I would love to be able to cut my own hair. Might look into it, actually, though I'd be pretty scared. Deborah Harry's always cut her own hair. <3
