Pulp Fiction - one of my all time favs.....just realised all my all time favourite movies revolve around drugs.......fear and loathing, the doors, blow, trainspotting, dazed and confused......i think i may need to branch out

Yeah...go watch Requiem For A Dream

I don't really know. I used to say Pulp Fiction was my favourite movie...but that was when the only other Tarantino movies I'd seen were Sin City & Inglourious Basterds.

I've now seen Jackie Brown, the two Kill Bills and Reservoir Dogs. And I love all of them...but I think it might be Jackie Brown simply because of the characters. They seem to be more developed, more unpredictable...and it's a lot tenser than the others (though arguably not RD) - you're made to second-guess everyone.

I think I'd go,
1) Jackie Brown
2) Pulp Fiction
3) Reservoir Dogs
4) Inglourious Basterds
5) Kill Bill Vol. 2
6) Sin City
7) Kill Bill Vol. 1

Pulp Fiction is a great watch but I'll have to go with Jackie Brown for a number of reasons, with the chief one being that it's the most mature and sophisticated of his flicks, relying on character development just as much as narrative which in my eyes is due to the fact that it's adapted from a novel rather than a work of his own imagination. The man can't create fully formed characters of his own really. That's what will continually keep his films from becoming true masterpieces.

Funny but just the other day I was thinking about how much I really loved 'Jackie Brown',
and,
for the reasons already mentioned by others in this thread.

Pulp and Reservoir were good too.
Kill Bills annoyed me as 'portfolios',
and,
Inglorious Basterds just about the worst film of the year for me.

But yeah.. Jackie Brown. Not only my top Tarantino film but actually one of my favourite films of all-time.
