And again, Im sick of people thinking they can get away with insulting me/taunting me etc. just because I have been more lenient in the past. I know its just a forum, but respect goes both ways, and I am through trying to be nice/lenient to people who do nothing but moan about me.

You know I've done the same job in the past (albeit elsewhere) and have also been admin. I know of the pressures. Be harsh on the forum and you get the wrath of the board yet don't and you get the wrath of the admin. You can't win. Plus I'd say 95% of any board will always have a problem with anyone with "mod" or "admin" under their name. Guess it comes with the territory

I actually made a board in the admin forum about it, and it turns out james was going to give him an infraction for it anyway...so it would have made no difference if I did it or not. It was only personal in the way that he was grating on me the way he just wouldnt shut up about it, even though it was so long ago...and also, anyone who talks like that 'ban me, ban me' stuff, is going to be banned from now on...might stop people being so cocky. If not, we get a days silence at least.

Just a thought but it might be worth asking the admin to post an announcement in the forum that things are going to take a tougher line from now on or you mods are gonna cop the lot flak wise

Might be worth it anyway with the final BB coming up. Probs be flooded with new members. Can't see many changes needed (if any) but the rules just highlighted or something somewhere :)

Yeah...problem is though, off season...we let things slide. As theres not so much to do, so many reports to go through etc... its just natural really. The problem is, when its coming back to BB time, we need to up it a little...otherwise we will be overrun by trolls. And we cant treat older members any different to newer members.

Really, it should be the same all year round, but theres a big difference between getting...say 5 reports in a day, to getting 50 an hour. Easier to be laid back, ish, off season. And the extra reports and that DO stress you, and you are harsher. Its just how it is :/
