I'm afraid I didn't like him. He went too overboard.

I hate how guys wear their trews around their knees too. At least wear a nice pair of britches.

Of course I want to give him credit and any young man at 16 who can get on a stage and be that confident and do that well deserves credit.

I think in a few years he can really improve and even now I would agree with Simon he is good enough to join a boy band.

At this time I just don't see him as too interesting. I think the young girls might like his 'cocky attitude',
but,
he may come across as a little 'arrogant' to most adults too.
Seems like a good kid though. Good luck to him.

He's the only half decent performer who's been on the programme this year.

With some young would-be stars I get this sense of parents and adults around them going beyond encouraging to treating the boy as a 'golden child' and even convincing them that their star-status is in the bank for them to go collect.

He had a little of that. Now confidence is good but there is just a little line where you gets sense of 'entitlement' from over-confidence.

I dunno.. I thought Simon did the right thing with a little 'reality check' and that will surely be helpful.
It might be time the adults around him (and his school mates) to rightfully praise him for the hard work and preparation but also let him know he can keep improving and let him know that opportunities like this are not 'rights' but blessings to be thankful for.

I think he is going to improve next time out and might win over more people.
