My new favourite band right now.

M.I.A. just signed them over to her new music label, NEET. They're a synth-punk/lo-fi band that like to use distorted guitars and drum machines. They remind me of Le Tigre and Peaches and other "riot grrrl" acts.

I can't actually find any studio tracks from their new album, Treats, on YouTube so here it is on Grooveshark. Listen to Infinity Guitars and Tell 'Em. You can tell why M.I.A. signed 'em up.

I've just got a hold of the album...it's phenomenal. You can tell how they've flourished under M.I.A., she was probably the last artist I was this blown away by.

As far as album openers go...wow:

ah, I actually listened to them the day you posted this but forgot to reply :P

I like what I've heard from the, I totally get and like the Peaches influence, I hope they do well. You can definitely hear a bit of MIA in them imo.

As previously reported, shred-pop duo Sleigh Bells have a new album called Reign of Terror. It's scheduled to arrive via Mom + Pop Music on Valentine's Day. How romantic. Also in February, Sleigh Bells and fellow Florida native Diplo will head out on a nine-date tour of their home state. (Liturgy will open.) Dates and tracklist below, along with a badass poster for the "Paradise Lost" tour and a video teaser for the album. Yes, there is a song called "Leader of the Pack"

Reign of Terror:

01 True Shred Guitar
02 Born to Lose
03 Crush
04 End of the Line
05 Leader of the Pack
06 Comeback Kid
07 Demons
08 Road to Hell
09 You Lost Me
10 Never Say Die
11 D.O.A.

:amazed:

Late last year, Sleigh Bells dropped a new track called “Champions of Unrestricted Beauty.” Now, they return with another new single. “Rule Number One” is available now; listen below, via Spotify or Apple Music. Alexis Krauss and Derek Miller's last album was 2013's Bitter Rivals.
