American heavy rock singer Ronnie James Dio, who replaced Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath, has died at the age of 67, his wife has said.

Dio had been suffering from stomach cancer.

Before joining Black Sabbath he sang in Rainbow - formed when Ritchie Blackmore left Deep Purple - and later in Heaven & Hell and Dio.

Dio's wife Wendy said on her husband's website: "Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever."

He was still a bigger legend than Dio. That's not something that's up for opinion. Not thinking he is as amazing as others think and thinking Dio was a bigger legend are two complately different worlds. So you should know what you are talking about before you constantly go demanding that others respect your opinion.

Yes, I respect that you prefer Dio to him, and that he is not as amazing as everyone makes out, but Michael Jackson was a far bigger legend and still is a far more important figure to music than Dio was.
