I don't mean in terms of how rubbish they were, but real evil sons of bitches. Scar from Lion King style.
Mine would be "L'il Zé" from City of God...my god I've never been more repulsed by a movie character. I won't spoil the film for those of you who haven't seen it [if not, DO SO IMMEDIATELY] but he's such a violent, scary character.

Howard the Duck easily
Oh and FPJr's character in She's All That and Jigsaw from the Saw series for being such a ****, unscary villain.
Not fictional.. but Idi Amin in "The Last King of Scotland."
I think it's probably the biggest transition of feelings towards a particular character during a film.
Xerxes from 300

The only thing Leonidas did wrong in that movie was not throwing that spear straight inbetween the ***** eye's

I agree with you, especially...
The rape scene, just awful to watch. Also the bit where he shoots the kids.

Yeah both of those were really uncomfortable, but for me the worst bit was when he first got a gun as a child and just shot people whilst laughing...quite disturbing.
Also the guy in Irreversible who does the "deed."
You will know which one I am reffering to if you have seen the film :)

Ohhhh yeah I remember that part, yeah it was pretty sinister. Really good acting in that film, I think I might actually rewatch it.

Probaby on Parr really. I guess the act he commited was worse though yeah. But Jake overall.
Ron Weasley. In the books he is not much better but in the movies he is essentially an unfunny, dim witted pug with the character depth of a cardboard cutout. And hey, I've seen Crow sequels.

Cook the man some facking eggs! That scene was tough to watch too.
Oh, and Uncle Monty in Whitnail & I. It's one of those situations where a character is so annoying in story that it translates to real life.

I thought Conspiracy was a chilling piece of work simply because of how the characters seemed to think that discussing the final solution for the Jewish problem was a mere formality, and to the uninformed onlooker it would seem like it was just a group of affluent businessmen discussing simple arithmetic and strategy over a nice bottle of wine and cigars. Crazy stuff.

Why Colin Firth is a really underrated actor and also illustrates how frightening the film in question is.

I dont know about most, but I hated Sykes in Oliver & Company! When he traps Fagin's fingers in the window of his car and blows smoke in his face, grrr!
