Poor guy. Saw him on those BBC2 80s programmes just the other day. Pop stars just seemed so much more colourful and glamorous back then. Straight guys in full make up.

That drum sound AATA had was just so unique and still sounds awesome.

I was in a charity shop last week and found a 1980s Smash Hits annual for just 50p. Its full of stuff from the magazine from that decade. Adam ant was obviously huge back then coz he's in it a lot. Boy George, Bananarama, Kim wilde, Sam Fox.....such a fun read!

Im not surprised many Popstars from way back go a bit nuts. Must be hard to go from screaming fans on your back all the time to nobody noticing you at all. Must take real strength of character. And people who strive for fame are not usually well balanced to begin with.

Definitely a tortured soul - he's suffered from Bipolar Disorder for over 30 years, been hospitalised several times, but he keeps trying to live a normal life - I can't imagine how difficult it has been for him. I wish him well.
