That stupid Disney Vault!!!

Anyone else hate it?

If you're unaware what the "Disney Vault" is, it's a place where all the Disney movies are stored after the company has made enough money out of them. So you'll find that Lion King is really hard to find now because it's returned to the vault and will probably not be re-released for another 10 years. Same with Beauty & the beast, it's being re-released soon. But i was just about to buy a disney movie and suddenly it's "Unavailable", when i've checked the site, it's "returned to the vault". So annoying.
I also wanted Beauty & the beast enchanted christmas, but it's been in the vault since 2002 and won't be re-released any time soon. Seriously, why can't they just release all their movies normally?

I'm clearly missing something here because if you go on Amazon there are loads of Lion King dvd's is that not what you want? :O

You can still get them but usually they're second hand or cost a bundle or both.

In a business sense it's a great move as the re-releases always sell well because the vault creates demand for them but it's annoying when you're after a certain film. That being said I do hope they hurry up with a Lion King re-release.

I have Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King and the Little Mermaid on DVD already, as well as Toy Story 1 and 2 and Finding Nemo, so yeah, I'm grand.

The Lion King was released in 1994.. I have a feeling it won't be re released until another 4 years when it is the 20th anniversary!!! NOOOOOOOO!

I only buy from sites that I know. And it is nice to buy it in the shops too, I can wait anyway its not urgent.

I dont use HMV site (Only go into HMV shops). My fave site to sue is Amazon.co.uk : quick , easy and items in great condition (Something Play.com is noy good at for me).
