The Billboards Thread!!!

Channel 4 will be promoting the final series of Big Brother by running billboard adverts in the next few weeks.

A spokesperson revealed on Twitter that there would be “massive billboards around the UK from Monday” which are lit up.

They also confirmed to Total Big Brother that there will be “tube posters”. It marks the first time since BB7 in 2006 that billboards have been part of the advertising campaign.

The adverts will contain the new eye logo as well as the tagline: “The Big Send-Off – Starts June”.

Here is a photo of one poster which was installed in Warren St Tube Station earlier today:

According to provisional schedules, Big Brother is expected to launch on Wednesday 9th June at 9pm. Channel 4 will confirm the schedules next Wednesday, however if that is indeed the launch date, there are 19 days to go!

We are hoping to see more of these colourful delights over the next week or two! Let us know if you spot any, take a picture and send it to us too.

Yeah it does, although I quite like evil BB I think for the last series 'fun' is the key element. Of course, I dont want BB going all soft and allowing them to run riot with nomination talk again though. :laugh:

The eye kinda looks like one of them things Hawaian people wear round their necks! Maybe they could have a Hula Hula dance task? :hugesmile:

Just thaught I would say that for anyone whos in Liverpool their is a big billboard just as you come out of the city centre near the museum. Looks brilliant and very eye catching! Doesnt look like a back lit one though.

2 in Kings Cross, 2 in Camden Town and 1 in Leicester Square stations. They were all huge and in prime positions so obviously this is costing Channel 4 alot; so the effort is clearly there.

And in my opinion the eye looks at its best in the huge bright colour of a billboard. They were all on really busy platforms and I could overhear pretty much everyone talking about it.

They must do, i bet almost everyone in the UK at least knows that the BB logo is an eye, so it will occur to them, well we know at least 10m will know what it is.... as BB3 final was watched by 10m, so they would know that an eye saying "The Big Send Off" would be related to BB.

I didn't get a picture because we were driving past and I didn't have my camera ready but there is one on a huge billboard just outside Birmingham. I don't know the name of the road but I think its where you join the M6 and its like a huge road where you can see all of Birmingham, sorry I'm so useless, I'm from Wales so I don't really know the roads.
