Wembley, Friendly. 8pm kick off

I'm more worried about players not picking up injuries, as a couple got injuries in the playoff finals

Everyone who played in the FA cup final won't be playing either

Well said Southgate

Carra can't just waltz back in after turning his back on the country

Shouldn't be in the squad

Good win for england.

Johnsons was amazing from what ive heard?

Carlos vela missed some good chances which is dissapointing a bit.. but considering he played like 6 games this season.. its not surprising, would be better used on loan..

King and Johnson were Quality, Baines wasn't very good at all from what i saw, Let the franco goal go straight through him and just didn't defend well on the left hand side,

England v Mexico player ratings
England laboured to an unconvincing victory over Mexico at Wembley to give Fabio Capello more questions than answers about the World Cup hopefuls in his squad. Metro rates the individual performances of the England team at Wembley.

ROBERT GREEN - 8/10
Did cause no harm with two vital and impressive saves. No.1 shirt could be his to lose.

GLEN JOHNSON 8

Sound enough in his defensive duties and capped his display with a stunning goal.

LEIGHTON BAINES 5

Uncertain at times but could do little about the goal.

RIO FERDINAND 6

Sometimes found wanting by a sprightly attack but the captain needs games and will be better for this.

LEDLEY KING 7

Eased back into international football with some unfussy defending and a decent goal. On the plane.

THEO WALCOTT 7

A constant menace on the right flank, with plenty of pace and endeavour. Welcome news.

MICHAEL CARRICK 6

Did little wrong but this was not the big display he probably needed to break into the final 23.

JAMES MILNER 6

Handed a central role but didn’t convince.

STEVEN GERRARD 7

Had nothing to prove but refused to take it easy.

PETER CROUCH 7

Scored one, set one up. What more do you need?

WAYNE ROONEY 7

A typically fine performance but, perhaps most importantly, the talisman avoided serious injury.

Johnson's goal was so weird to me...none of the Mexicans were even trying to close him down. It was a good shot though.

It wasn't all power either he placed it in the corner and he was to fast for the Mexican's they were getting no where near him.. He's scored some great goals from outside the box.. The best one against Hull

Very good performance from England. Mexico are a good team and we brushed them away with ease. We are going to win the World Cup with ease.
