Hey Guys,
Already explained this half a dozen times but all some people seem to see is the opportunity to have a good ole moan.
Right I have been off the forum for a wee while and have been trying out some functions on the admin panel. So I tried it on some of the what I would call 'less popular' or 'without a greater meaning' lol threads and screwed it up a couple of times until I got it right.
I have not locked all the threads that have been closed this night but have closed one or two in error and hey guess what I even deleted one - so again sorry and for those that are not satisified that I screwed up and apologised 'SUE ME' :xyxwave:

It's Ok sunny XD
The spammy threads are only clogging up the forum, so it's probably for the better that you deleted them

Seems to be a lot of mods around this evening. Theyre all getting in on the thread closing action.
It's chaos.

Meh, people were doing it before you were Sunny, so I don't hold you accountable. It's just incredibly counterproductive to delete some of the ones that were deleted tonight when four more will just pop up in their place. Certain people are just boring old killjoys sometimes.
I can set up a few practice threads for you if you want, Sunny. You know. Get a few pics of crash mats inside them and leave them vaccant for you to work your magic on .

Seriously the other mods are only locking threads that have been created in reponse to my screw up so give them a break as well please or refer to 'SUE ME'
ahah it's alright. don't lock this one!

Meh, I hold by my viewpoint still. By locking one, three or four more pop up. So it accomplishes nothing IMO :), all due respect etc.

I don't get what the alternative to closing the threads is supposed to be though, Stu. What are they supposed to say? "Yeah, now, since this is an argument breaking all manners of rules, I'm going to have to close it and sit Stacey.x and Jessica. on the naughty steps. Now all the rest of you go and sit down and I'll make you some hot chocolates"?
Because whilst that'd be lovely, it's impractical.
On the contrary, if Stephanie, Jessica, Stacey.X, etc. could just stop being an attention-seeking mess for just a second there wouldn't be a problem.

Sunny - You've done nothing wrong chick - Closing those threads was a good thing anyway, they were blatantly trying to get attention anyway so you were doing all of us a favour by getting rid of their silly comments.. welcome back :)

Oh my goodness Callum how very rude of me, thank you for the welcome, it is sooooo good to be back and as you can see I am causing problems already
Have we ever considered a naughty step? hmm never thought of that one lol.
Shaun is right though there are always consequences to actions! and why should their not be consequences, why should people be allowed to do as they please because 'it makes life easier' I certainly didnt go to that school of thought.

The alternative of people making these threads would be the people receiving posting bans.
If people spam too much it will start to happen..
And welcome back sunny.

Was oiling me trigger finger for busy nights lol, who knew I would cause such chaos but seriously I did choose random threads that had no real value on this planet to practice on

What alternative? Why do you need one? I'm not talking about argument threads, I'm talking about - admittedly annoying - threads asking why other threads were closed. You close one of those threads, and four more pop up. It's really simple, IMO. I agree they are attention seeking morons, but you are only facilitating the madness by closing relatively innocuous threads.
You give them the ammo and they will shoot the guns. Starve them of the ammo. Don't give them attention.

I think these threads could be controlled more with a couple of nifty PM warnings and a nicely timed warning post to cool things down. Kinda like a sheepdog rounding up the sheep.
It's called moderating.

Thanks Lewis nice to be back xx
I find it funny that people are expressing annoyance at the threads, yet also supporting the locking of them. That creates more of them. Lock threads with arguments. Don't lock threads when you don't possibly have a TiBB rule to fall back on.
I don't like it either. It's juvenile. But you don't want to encourage the dopes.
