No it didn't. Apprentice Final was at 9-10pm. BB started at 10pm. I remember watching both.
The apprentice final was 9-11PM, it had You're Fired connected to straight after without a break.

No, it was one show. There wasn't a break and there was one rating: 9.31m from 9PM to 11PM

But it doesn;t really matter WHAT it is up against, fact is what was showing on the other channel attracted around 9m viewers and dented BB10 that day, so comparing the figures is useless.

Last Night got 2.6m, an increase on the last few nights and exactly the same as last weeks Weds episode. ALSO, it is very good because not only did it clash with TWC Germany game which would reveal who Eng was playing against, it was also up against Wimbledon.

Big Brother- 2.6m
TWC Match, England VS Slovenia- 10.0m *Peak 14m
TWC Match, Germany VS Ghana- 5.5m
Outnumbered- 3.6m
Wimbledon 2010- 1.7m (for the average of the 9 hours) *Peak of 4.2m at 9pm when BB started.

BB10 had dropped below 2m at this point. Week 3 averaged 2.2m officially (1.9m overnights), we are so far averaging 2.5m overnights for Week 2, and the eviction should bring the ratings to almost about 2.8m (as i feel the eviction will get 2.8-3.0m)... the OVERNIGHT average of the series so far is 2.7m (if officials would be adedd it would be 3.1m officially)

Week 2 BB10 Official- 2.4m
Week 3 BB10 Official- 2.2m
Week 4 BB10 Official- 2.2m

I wouldnt worry at all.

I don't hate the show :confused:. I just think this series isn't as good as it could be because the editing so far has been poor. Too much focus on certain housemates.

I hope this series can improve, but I have to say I'm not surprised one bit that the ratings are low now.

I don't hate the show, I love it. No matter how sh!t it is, I'm not going to give up on it on the last year, am I?

Um no. It';s only in the last few days I've said this series was bad. First few days looked very promising. I give praise when praise is due. I loved CBB7 and said that throughout that series.

If I wasn't a true fan I would've stopped watching. But no matter how sh!t the show is, I will never, ever stop watching. Because I am a true fan.

I complain because I want the show to be the best it can be, and if it's not, I want to try and improve it. Only people that weren't true fans would pass off an evidently poor series as something spectacular and try and dismiss bad points with stupid excuses. I hate admitting the show is sh!t, infact, I don't think I've ever done it to this extent. Exactly Im holding onto hope that the +1 for the 1st show got 700k or something bizzare like that to bring it to 2.9m and nearly 3m... WONT HAPPEN :p

Tonight BB starts at 10pm and in the next week we have loads of 8pm slots, looks like C4 want it to fail, so if thats the case, why should we care about ratings? they are killing it.

Because C4 are stupid, it worked in CBB7 but it didnt work ion BB9, BB10 so i doubt it will work in BB11.

CBB7 basically did everything right, it fought off competition whatever it was... maybe because it was better, or had great celebs or maybe because it wasnt 29 degrees like it is now, it was like 2 degrees lol

I wouldnt say lose interest, i know thats not it for sure because 2.6m wouldnt tune in to nominations and only 2.1m for the actual eviction... obviously A LOT of people were out last night with it being hot. It will rise hopefully, it just doesnt make sense that 500k less people would watch the eviction than when they nominayed only a couple of days earlier.

I'm pretty sure MTV has already ordered a few more seasons, so it probably won't be cancelled anytime soon. But it's crazy to think it's been going on since 1991, it really is a huge part of MTV history and it would be a shame if it got cancelled.

Last night got 1.7m in the 10pm slot. You may say thats bad but it beat every Saturday rating from BB10 except for one of them, but was 300k down on last week.

But this time there is an excuse, i dont think they have in YEARS done a Saturday episode starting at 10pm instead of 9pm. So its not too bad, and with it being one of the hottest daysyesterday since last summer.

Everything was down. Except for the match which got a peak of 8.4m excluding +1!!! :shocked:

Doctor Who final got under 5m excluding HD, 5.1m incl HD.

Its clear to say that if it was at the 9pm slot it would have got 2m+ and would be on par with the previous 2 weeks.

Breakdown was released and it fell to 1m after 11pm (people probably thought it had finished as there was no "coming up" section before the last break. Between 10pm-11pm it was pretty much 2.0m-2.1m (on par with the previous 2 weeks). If only those pointless 10 mins were there.

I cant defend Fridays but you should all know that Saturdaysb rate around 700k lower than normal, and to be on at 10pm is a real slap in the face, all my friends missed it.

Look at all BB series, some Saturdays in BB7 rated around 1.5m lower than other days.

Last night BB got 2.5m. Up 800,000 on Saturday and was the highest rated episode since Wednesday night.
Not bad for a very hot day.

Just goes to show that people havnt given up, when people saw the eviction ratings people wer egetting worried, i think its safe to say loads of people recorded it, as last night got 200,000 more than the first Friday show and 400,000 more than Govan's interview.

weekend ratings in full, 2n show on Friday was actually 100,000 higher than originally posted accoridng to Channel 4:

Hmm Im not sure BB10 did get 5.5m on its launch, yes there was negativity before the series began (with the axe of LF) but BB10 decreased its ratings and during Week 3 it hit rock bottom, it recovered after the new HMs went in the anniversairy week in Week 5/6.

Unlikely, not only is it starting at 10pm (9pm seems to be the best slot for BB proven in the last few series) but its scheduled until 11:15pm, which means it will finish around 8 minutes early which is pointless and stupid.

I have no idea, I guess anything above 2.6m would be great, if it did get 2.9m again i will be shocked, but it could happen, all those people watching last night could come back for all the Sunshine scandal that happened.

Its such a shame that in the next 2 weeks we wont be seieng many 9pm slots.

People actually gained interest during bb10 hence why the ratings went up towards the end of the series and a lot of people returned for CBB7. It was BB9 and CBB6 that caused the ratings disaster in BB10.

But you cant deny that there was a bigger drop in ratings between BB9 and BB10 that there was between BB8 and BB9.

Agree here, it actually all started when Nikki was put in and that was the last time people would vote largley in evictions, and then came CBB5 which before the race row was the least watched CBB at that moment and then the race row made ratings pick up, and after Jade was evicted, the ratings plummeted for the first time towards the end of a series (it was obvious the 5m+ that were turning in were only for the race row), the CBB5 final was watched by 6m, the least watched at the time.

Then came BB8 launch, all girls, which was another nail in the coffin and people called BB8 generally the 2nd worst BB (after BB4) and ratings went from 4.7m official for BB7 to 3.9m official for BB8 (drop off 800k). BB9 was actually the series that restored peoples faith in the series. But disagree with you Patrick on the CBB6 is not to blame because LF was axed for CBB6 and there was negative air all around the forum and this carried onto CBB6 and BB10.

That is true, BUT inevitable as BB10 was the ONLY series that ONLY had overnight feed (CBB6 and CBB7 had afternoon feed but not 24/7).

Tbh less people watched BB11 Launch than BB10 Launch but BB11 has maanged to hold onto much more audience than BB10 ever did from the launches.

However, CBB7 in January did brilliantly despite not having 24/7 LF and I think that if it did, it would have acchieved a 4m+ official average (the highest since CBB5, however it did magnage to get 3.7m official which was highest since BB8.

True but I think its just when you exclude the 4 days (which is quite short because i thought it went on longer!) then it was lower. BUT IMO it all started with Nikki going back inm, the race row AND BB8 Launch.

BB8's first HL show was the first HL shwo to go under 4m for the first time in a long time... i think BB producers even realised the all female thing was wrong.

The producers constantly say the 2 things they have done wrong in the whole series was Nikki re enterting and the All Female Launch.

Anyways, back on BB11 Ratings, im starting to think, could BB be harmed? Uruguay VS Ghana Quarters tonight (may not be the biggest match but still) and if one of them wins then it will finish at around 9:20pm BUt if it goes into extra time and then penatlies it wont finish until 10pm... however its lucky with have +1.

That Weds rating of 2.9m (2.92m to be precise so more towards being rounded to 3m) gives us hope for when the world cup ends, I hope when it ends we are given loads of 9pm slots as we can do well.

Hmm I think tahts wrong, Channel 4 on the overnights page of the website has 2.36m (2.4m rounded) as the SLOT AVERAGE (10pm-11:15pm) so it would be around 2.5m for the time it was on.

Hmm Im not sure, the 2nd show was watched MORE than the 1st and that rarely has happens in the last couple of years. The footie defenitley wrecked the 1st show last night.

The 2nd show got a great share, and 400,000 up on last week.

Its taht first show, all them 2.3m were probably mostly women, everyone skipped BB for the football as it was the most intense game of the whole WC.
