Did Endemol copy idea for launch night twist?

"HUGE SECRET REVEALED! This year the viewers will vote for favourite housemate to go INTO the house one week before show starts. Auditionees' profiles will be posted in TV ads & on website. Results revealed on launch night by Davina through usual method."

Comment by 27march2009 still visible on page 99 of channel comments. Did Endemol copy this idea?
