And for that matter the likes of BBSpy and IBB? DSBB will just collapse into DS's archives along with other deceased reality shows but will the rest adapt to cover foreign versions of the show, be kept open but empty as a record of the show or just die down till their admins pull the plug on them?

There's at least one I saw the other day that has started to re-brand itself to cover other areas of TV.

I imagine TiBB will go further down the toilet and the few remaining members who care enough will either stay or migrate somewhere else.

I hope not! I only joined yesterday yet this is, by far, they best and busiest forum I'm a member of. Surely it will just be a forum for other reality TV shows?

I think it's actually a lot slower than normal. You should see all the boards once it actually starts.

there's plenty of other TV shows to talk about

I was thinking that. Yesterday was extremely busy compared to what I'm used to, so I can only imagine what it's like when BB kicks off.

I imagine they will rebrand it for X-Factor but it will mainly be a place for off topic chat. That's kind of what it's been for years really. Big Brother usually takes a backseat and it's generally just a forum for the people on here to talk to each other.

It's certainly busy but it's nothing compared to what it used to be, both in terms of quanity and quality.

Don't let me put you off though .

Do we really want to subject potentially vulnerable mentally disabled clients to the net though

[Wait ... ]

Oh yeah, we already done that.

The people who watch the Real World are the same kind of people who watch BB
Funnily enough you sound just like the people who turn there noise up at Big Brother, when they have never watched it and have no idea what it is about.

You know I'm taking the piss, right?

I even put in a comedy routine line right at the end for clarification?

Well they made a this is X Factor site last year so I reckon we'll just be rebranded probably. Like Stu said though, it's much more of an off topic place then anything else.

Well yeah I don't like the nature of the show so It's not for me.

I don't like talk shows either, so I'm probably not going to start watching Jezza Kyle anytime soon.

TBB will stay open, as I think Big Brother will be back, maybe not this year, or next... but WHEN it comes back we will be here waiting with our arms open.

But we will also launch TotalTV after BB - That has been in the pipeworks for around a year and half now. :)

I used to use that one, stopped early BB8 when I lost interest in said series. I see they didn't cover CBB.

It's odd looking back on now (pretty much) dormant sites you used to use and their now (pretty much) desserted forums and chatrooms.

By far the busiest forum I use or have used is D.S. (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums), it's ranked in the top 40 largest in the world, number 1 when measured on certain metrics.

I'd rather cut off my two veg than force myself to watch and discuss an MTV reality show.

Though I also consider it the best, though when I first joined, three years younger and four or five years more naive, I wasn't too keen on it, with a more mature membership than this place they don't go as easily on you or at least they didn't, don't know if it's just that I've become one of them but they seem to be less arsey these days.

I used to quite like popping on there, but I dont go on there with anything like the frequency now, I personally found it too cliquey. I wouldnt say the membership was any more mature than here, just the mods are a lot less tolerant and a lot more in your face. Mind there are a lot worse places.

Horses for courses.

I've only ever been banned once in my time on D.S. (a week long thing) and though it was a stupid rule, it was a rule that I was aware of when I signed up.

Nah was just the way the forum developed over the last couple of series, you couldnt say anything critical of certain housemates, for example at certain times of the evening and night posts were deleted and people banned for saying something as mundane as Rachel shouldnt win because she was boring/not entertaining etc. I just thought it was getting pathetic.

I've said a lot worse at all times and recieved not so much as a warning.
It says in the DSBB rules and guidlines not to unjustifiable rip at housemates out of context though I admit what you describe was bending that definition somewhat.

(My crime btw was saying something quite distasteful about how much I disliked Zezi on BBLB during BB9)

You have to remember though that it's a commercial site run by a site owned by a publishing company, that's more respected in the public eye than simmilar sites so they're bound to be tougher.

I do think the frontend's gone downhill since it started focussing on showbiz though.

DS is like The Sun of the internet forum world. Full of jealous women and perhaps men. The showbiz forum is a joke, every programme which is on TV is apparently a bad programme. Most of the users on DS are just idiots.

The amount of jealous women on their to people like cheryl cole is laughable. Even though i don't like Cheryl myself, to say she is ugly etc as you see is just pathetic.
