Back in my student days he was so great in the dead of night to listen to when I was a little worse for wear! So calming and peaceful. And the way he spoke about the "critters" and the "happy trees" in his paintings, as well as his giggle after cleaning his brush was just a delight to watch. He died relatively young too, poor fella.

He used to be on one of the Discovery channels really late at night. Don't know if it still works that way. I'd watch a bit of Takeshi's for a laugh and then some of him to relax afterwards. Always a great way to end a night of festivities!

Orson Welles aired his own version of it on radio in America during the late 30's and apparently it caused a certain amount of panic because people believed that what they were hearing was true.
