View Full Version : Going away for a week
During the half-term I'm going on holiday to visit my cousin who emigrated about a year ago. Just thought I'd let you know so no-one wondered where I went.

Yes, I am telling you in advance.
Cheers, jrc.
When is your half-term holiday then? Here in Scotland the schools finished on Friday for their 2 weeks' autumn holiday. :spin2:
(Commonly known as the Tattie Holidays, because schoolkids used to earn some extra pocket money by picking potatoes during these 2 weeks .... nowadays they're usually harvested by machine - the potatoes that is, not the schoolkids!!!!!.)
*End of Scottish history lesson!*

than i would reply back saying that was complety pointless
Oh I'm off at the end of Friday! Then I go back on the Friday two weeks later, just for the day? *weirdness*
Again, I think Scottish holidays are totally disjointed, they're never the same, my older brother gets the holiday already, and my younger brother gets an extra day *he stays off on the friday when I go back*
