Charlotte Church and Gavin Henson have reportedly brought their five-year relationship to an end.
The Welsh couple, who have two young children together, took the decision to split just six weeks after announcing their engagement.
The News Of The World reports that no-one else was involved in the decision, which has left both parties "distraught". Henson, 28, is now looking for a property close to their £1.2m house so that he can see Ruby, 2, and 1-year-old Dexter regularly.
A source said: "It is an incredibly sad state of affairs. Both Gavin and Charlotte are deeply distraught. But after a lot of soul-searching, they realised this is the best course of action for them and the children. It was a mutual decision.
"To the outside world they were a golden couple. The truth is, they had the same insecurities as anyone else. Charlotte is very headstrong. In the end, Gav found it too much. He was blaming her for his rugby career stalling. She hated him going out drinking with mates."
The 24-year-old Over The Rainbow judge is now said to be in the studio working on a new album to relaunch her pop career.
Thats another celeb couple broken up :conf2:

I thought they'd be for keeps tbh. They both seemed smitten. Plus she's finally grown up and stopped being as volatile (well, in public)

Yes, because splitting up on good terms, and providing two safe environments for their two children is a whole lot worse than staying together, and putting their children in a potentially unstable and volatile environment.

NO
bollocks
deal with your problems, talk about them, solve them and grow. The easy out is to walk away. Relationships are hard work, daily, they need adults who work together and selflessly. This is a healthy environment for children to grow in. Love needs work.
What is this huge issue that has split them when they were so much in love before. The answer is nothing, but an opportunity to run away from the hard work that staying together involves.
Children suffer.
