If somebody does something wrong while they are intoxicated why do people justify their actions and just forget about it because they were drunk?
I don't understand it.
Like I will give an example from TiBB.
MemberA "Did you hear what MemberX did last night?"
MemberB "He was drunk though"
MemberA "Oh ok"

And in RL
Person A "Did you hear what Person X did last night?"
Person B "Ya, I think he was drunk"
Person A "Oh ok"

It's stupidity. They are still the same person and they still did what they did, they were just drunk. :s

Your inhibitions become different when drunk, and there are things (and people :blush:) you'd do that you'd never do when you're sober.

It does lower inhibitions though and gives people confidence. Not sure I'd ever forgive drunken excuses such as "Oh sorry I slept with so and so - I was drunk" mind

Sometimes alcohol has an amusing effect in that it amplifies minor feelings into major emotions and the brain acts on them. It also removes inhibitions at the same time, so if someone starts the "I love you, you understand me, you are my bestest buddy" routine they probably do like you that doesnt mean they want you to have their babies, just maybe have a practice session.

I got picked up by the police, walking through a town with a bottle of Whisky in my hand and a traffic cone on my head. Safe to say I would never do that sober, but I don't BLAME the drink. I blame myself for drinking in the first place.

Drinking won't ruin your life. Guzzling alcohol with reckless abandon on a regular basis is a sure way to set yourself on a bad path.
