Rather than show us whats happening 45 minutes after it's actually happened? It's not fair to call the show live when it's not. If something were to happen, like someone falling down the stairs and hurting themself badly, it'd probably be edited out during the 45 minute wait. Not that I want someone to hurt themself, but it'd make for great tv viewing if something disastrous were to happen live.

Its about a 15 minute delay, but yeah i agree with you it'd be funny if something went wrong but i dont think they'd want that to happen, also with it been live it'd be hard for it all to be fit into a 30 min show with davina getting them to them into studio and everything.

It wasn't 15 mins. Last year it was at least 30 mins. I remember stuff being posted on ds about what was happening at around 30-45 minutes before it was shown on tv.
But yeah, I do hope if something goes wrong that they show it.

No it has not been 'live' since CBB5. You can prove it as the word 'Live' never pops up any more on launch night. Or if you live in the south of England you can look at the sky colour and see if it matches the sky on the TV.

Endemol did TMPD Live which was uneeded for tbh but it did make for good questions being asked about current events but IMO BB is more needed for Live TV.
I remember seeing 'Live' pop up on the screen years ago.
But its not fair when the guy goes 'Now its time to join Davina, for the LIVE Big Brother launch show'
And it says on adverts 'BB Live Launch'
I hated how last year PICTURES Of Karly's eviction and in January pictures of Nicola's eviction were posted on here half an hour before the show came on.
Seriously what is the need for it not to be live? It worked fine before, I'm pretty sure if more people knew that what they are watching is'nt live there would be a few complaints.
ah pity. still remember the technical difficulties in Lisa's eviction in BB7 - that was funny!

wait a minute. If its not live what about the countdown before the lines close surely if its not live that wouldnt be right. Bit of a con
My god you lot are miserable. It's still virtually live. Live television these days is very, very rare. Even full on live shows are on at least a few minutes delay time in case of accident or emergency.

Because of the 'racism' :(
Bull****, Jade wasnt rasict, you can only be racist if you intend to be, and lets face it Jade wasnt the brightest tool out of the box so she didnt realise, just wankers claiming she intended to be :nono:

Things such as BB6 when Maxwell said "open the door you *******s" and pretty much the same line from Lea in BB7.

no, the lines close, then it goes to the ad breaks, then it comes back "not" live

THIS IS RIGHT. They basically don't wait around during ad breaks. The delay varies throughout the show; but it all averages out by the end. The delay around the lines-close and result section is obviously very small and is therefore almost live. i've been to evictions.
