Sorry if already posted! just found this on insidebigbrother

The Big Brother community love to speculate, and one of the hot topics amongst BB fans has always been the publicity for a new series.

We’re right in the middle of the pre-BB publicity, and things are really beginning to hot up. The mystery behind the falling flowers has been revealed, the official eye has been released and the graveyard advert has made it to air.

In this feature, we’ve already looked at the advertising campaign behind Big Brother 2 and the brilliant pre-publicity for Big Brother 3. We’ve also looked at what Big Brother 4 had to offer, as well as the Black Friday theme of Big Brother 5. Moving on, we looked at Big Brother 6’s publicity and then looked at Big Brother 7.

THIS IS THE WHOLE THING:
The Big Brother community love to speculate, and one of the hot topics amongst BB fans has always been the publicity for a new series.

We’ve also looked at what Big Brother 4 had to offer, as well as the Black Friday theme of Big Brother 5. Moving on, we looked at Big Brother 6’s publicity and then looked at Big Brother 7.

In this, the final article of the feature, I’ve decided to lump together the last three series. In part, this highlights the similarities between the recent publicity campaigns, but, I believe, it also shows why ratings of Big Brother series have declined recently.

Series 8, 9 and 10 often featured “eye flashes” or break bumpers in-between the adverts on Channel 4. See some of the examples below.

These videos were often followed by a series of countdown adverts, such as in the examples above.

As you can see, Channel 4 has often used the same old, same old style for advertising recent series. I believe this is why many of the recent series have been less successful in terms of TV ratings.

However, for the elevnth and final series of Big Brother, it appears that Channel 4 are changing their tactics. For the first time in 4 years, we have seen Big Brother advertised on billboards – and there haven’t been any ‘countdown’ adverts yet which may signal a change in tactics.

We’ll have to watch this space.
Inside Big Brother – Always watching!

thanks alfie!

how do i post videos!?!

baiscally on youtube you get somthing called an "embedded" code, what you need to do is press the "youtube" icon in the post edit on the forum, and then copy and paste the code into there...

Hopefully that makes sence! :)
