From injury picked up in training so could be out of World Cup:(, was a risk taking Rio considering his back problems before and Michael Dawson has been put on stand by so could be going after all...

I thought it was a risk to bring him to be honest with you. How many games has he played this season? And he's hardly been at his best either.

Rio and Vidic only played about 10/11 games together in the United defence all season:shocked:.

He's not been near his best but he's still a good player IMO.. another setback maybe now he's better off quitting the England set up and focus on club football only?.

Yeah, if this makes him pull out it might be time to call it quits at international level. He's always been dodgy when it comes to injuries.

SSN say that Rio is definetly out of the World Cup:(.. apparently Michael Dawson will fly out tonight.

All Rio can do now is recover and not rush his comeback:).

That's really dodgy for England. I mean, King is world class but has gammy legs, and I'm not a fan of Upson. Dawson is really unproven at this level. Is Carragher going? He's an accident waiting to happen.

Apparently the injury was suffered from a tackle by Heskey.

What a ****ing oaf that man is, I knew it was a mistake taking him over Bent. Moreover, Zamora should be in his place.

I guess it's not too bad as it seems though, Rio has been stupidly out of form lately and I expect King will joing the back four now which I am very pleased about.

And now whos going to be captain? I really do hope they give it back to John Terry as when hes captain hes amazing, but they will give it to Gerrard (who was ****e last time he was captain) or lamps

Rio Ferdinand ruled out of World Cup after clash in training with Emile Heskey, so now Rio won't be wearing the England captain armband it has got the whole nation raising the question again...

Gerrard will be captain, if prefer terry but gerrard will do a good job.
