For those who have seen the pictures, (i'm not going to post them) if you look on the pictures that shows half the sofa, there's a landing at the top of the stairs, there is definitely an upstairs!!

It's the entrance- from the pics we can see you enter into the living room, and the bathroom comes off the living room aswell.

Upstairs are fantastic because they allow for more gossip and group conflict. BBUS's first year with stairs was an all out battle.

It's just the entrance. Those mirrors can play tricks on your eyes, so they can.

I'm more confused by the bottom few steps coming out through the glass into the living room to go nowhere in particular.

Yeah. Which leads to the exit door. The exit door is not at the top of the steps, it's over to the right. Look at the picture of the living room where you can see up into the stairs. The entrance/exit door is over to the right on this landing people are talking about.
