View Full Version : The Prodigy are such a disgrace

Do you remember that brilliant album Experience? What happened to the group responsible for it? I listen to "Warrior's Dance" and I want to vomit and can't believe this is from the same band. What's worse is that people still defend the Prodigy to this day, after all of the crap they have brought out.
Imagine if the Prodigy hadn't sold their asses to chart music and actually expanded and built upon on all the creativity and promise of their first two albums. Instead, they already sounded washed out on Fat of the Land and everything they churned out thereafter just doesn't bear mentioning.
I just can't process the thought of why they are still so popular... they have nothing left to offer. I think it's better that they step aside and make way for new talent.

Never liked that crap, nothing to do with music.
In your opinion, of course.
Invaders Must Die is easily as good as anything they have ever done, and tracks like Take Me To The Hospial and Omen are as heavy. I don't buy that they 'sold out' to chart music. They were always catchy big beat that just got tighter as it went along. The early stuff was very chart friendly for it's time, too.
And the live shows keep getting better. One of the best live acts touring today.

If their abilities as a live act proves anything, it's that the Prodigy are still capable musicians. It's just that they would prefer not to put their talents to use in the recording studio. Don't you think that they have been stuck producing the same old dated beats and sounds in fear of losing their core fanbase and mainstream audiences?

Step aside? It's up to new acts to push them aside.
Actually, there's plenty of room for everybody. Old and new.

I do agree that IMD sounded safe. Hopefully the next record expands the sound a bit more.
