Yeah. It would've been okay for the site to shutdown as long as Daily Motion videos were still up. But they're being taken down as well.

Yeah it's better quality but it can take ages to download especially on Torrents. Streaming is so much easier.

It looks like he's had a rift with bbspy. He alleged that bbspy were leaking embargoed info (which I don't believe), and he claims that bbspy retaliated by reporting his website (which I also don't think is true).

That's what brought it to Channel 4's attention after nearly 2 years.

I refuse to have any sympathy for him if he does get taken down by C4 lawyers. He's been warned and they've clearly pointed out what its infringing. He's just choosing to ignore it.

However, I can't see anything wrong with having the videos up. It's not costing channel 4 anything in profits. Channel 4 = tampon.

He was using a BB facebook group to advertise and promote his website, every update featured "MrMarky.co.uk" so no wonder they got hold of him.

if it was going to have been anything remotely as petty as you suggest, it would have happened when mrmarky made a thread here claiming BBSpy had stolen "copyrighted" (see: not remotely copyrighted) information and posting it on their site. But it doesn't have anything to do with 'arguments' with him, because Matt isn't that immature.

I don't understand how hard it is to keep embargoed news and updates under embargoment until the embargo expires.

That's one of the reasons he has been shut down - he's leaking too much embargoed news and updates and channel 4 are sick of it - and you know what, I don't blame them.

As much as the site may have been good, it is his own damn fault and he had it coming to him, that's all I can say...

What annoys me is the fact that Channel 4 do not offer fans the chance to view the past series in any shape or form, whether it be online, or on DVD etc. Yes, they own the rights, but what harm are sites like this doing? There are very few places to view such material now, especially since they removed all traces from Youtube. Somebody has spent a hell of a lot of time and effort to offer fans this service, and they certainly did not do it for their own good. Shame on you CH4. Great way to alienate the loyal fans that have stuck with BB throughout the years.

When I joined this forum, loads of people were saying that BB5 was the best series ever. I didn't know where to watch it but then I found out about Mr.Marky. So I started watching BB5 for the past couple of weeks and I've been really getting into it. I'd gotten to day 9 I think?

Then along come the ****wits that are C4 blocking a website where you could go and see what BB used to be like. I was telling loads of my friends (most of whom hate BB) how good BB5 was and they were actually listening to me. So I gave told them about Mr.Marky and now i come home and find its been taken down.

I love how C4 love to alienate fans/future fans like this.
