A teacake isn't the same thing as a roll! I'm very confused as I had this conversation quite recently with somebody and agreed that a bap and a roll were the same thing.. But a teacake?? That isn't the same as a roll?

It's a BUN! A teacake has currants in it! haha i had this debate a while back with someone from Blackburn who called them teacakes, I wouldn't go into a shop and ask for a bacon teacake....they'd look at me daft! I'd ask for a bacon BUN! :D

My bf is a born and bred Scouser and I've never ever heard him call it a batch lol, he calls them barms same as people in Manchester.

I have family who live on the Wirral (ok not Liverpool) and they get a "chip batch" from the chippy. I had never heard of it before?
