BB11 Launch Night .. DISASTER.

Sorry, I had high hopes for this launch as you all did but I think its safe to say that launch was the worse launch we have ever had.


1. The entire entrance thing was stupid.
2. It felt really tacky.
3. It felt rushed.
4. The music was irratating.
5. It didn't feel like Big Brother.
6. The Housemates are the worst HMs we have ever had since BB8.


I mean really honestly, even the house tour felt rushed too it was just a mess.

I couldn't belive how diffrent this show has became, this series literally makes BB10 look ****ing epic.

This is the last series for the forseeable future and it's off to a pretty bad start.
I have had people text and call me and people on MSN all 'slag BB off' these are people who just today were going to give it a chance, seen this riduclous launch and turned on it.


Now I am trying to be fair and I am thinking back to BB10 when I seen people like Marcus, Lisa, Sree and Siavash who I thought were complete weird dick heads, but then Marcus went onto becoming my favourite housemate of all time.


So I am willing to give this lot a chance, but really tbh they look so boring its unreal and another thing.. the hopefuls we had lined up were 100,000,000 times better than this line up.

Emma should of went in, now we have no fit girls to look at.

Alistar should of went in, he would of been such a bitch and an amazing HM.

Patrick should of went in, well because I wanted to hear Davina say my name.

You lot complained about the amount of Irish Hopefuls yet only like one from Dublin went in, typical C4 think Dublin is the only ****ing place in Ireland.


So yeah not off to a good start, but hey its Day 1 who knows what this series will end up like?

I really think it has potential, the house is great, the tasks and twists will be good BUT the housemates.. are horrible, end of.

I loved the launch, the old style launch was all well and good but it was nice and refreshing to see such a different format
I LOL'd so much at all the technical faults there were!
Hated the carnival music when the housemates were selected
But I thought it was all fantastic :D
I would have liked a better house tour with the diary room reveal at the end not at the beginning
And Davina was being a bit silly for a lot of it (no real change! :tongue:)
But overall I would rate that launch very highly

It was a good launch, something a bit different. It's a bit too quick to condemn the HM's just yet but I personally feel that the blokes are a bit dull and forgettable in comparision to the women. Not my favourite launch but it's been the best one of the last few years easily, bar possibly the latest CBB.

I agree with what both Patrick and ILoveTRW said. I'm mainly disappointed with the housemates, and I thought alot of the elements were cheap and tacky.

And the fact that we won't get any new housemates unless people walk, makes things worse.

There were many potential HM I could see and should of been picked, having wannabes is better for the show, but out of he 40 HM they pick the worst of all. Atleast pick decent HM, all these HM they picked look too nice and posh for my liking.

It was an ok launch, not great but not the worst.

The clips at the beginning were nostalgic, the house tour was good and I got in to the carnivale theme with the music, entrance and the selection process - it was different. And the mole twist is better than last year's

BUT I was hoping the HMs would be 'normal' again. Instead they instinctively seemed like they were typically picked for more abstract features e.g.

Josie - scream queen
Steve - artificial legs and eye
Dave - nerdy minister dressed as monk
Nathan - monobrow
Shabby - need I say anymore?

They could still be entertaining though. Just wish the DR chair was bigger and nicer, and Mario the mole should have had a VT

This launch was always gonna disapoint people because they already knew which HM's they wanted and got dissapointed when they weren't picked. They should have watched it with no expectations.

The launch itself was really good, like the layout and how it was done, but the actual housemates appear to be awful from first impressions.

The profiles seemed to include some great potentials in the shortlist, however what we have seems a mess, but it is only Day 1 and Im sure people will grow on me, I hope anyway because I do love BB and it would be a shame to end on a bad series..

The concept was great, it was fresh and innovative and fun for the last series.

It was just let down by Davina's obvious nerves and therefore mistakes;
as well as poor director execution and vision mixing: i.e. the 'impossible task' VT not showing, the audio through the VT's messing up etc...

All that aside though, it's clear they tried their absolute best! The effort was definitely there :)

I agree, it wasn't good. When I turned it on I though "hey! they filmed it this afternoon", but maybe that was just a effect of all the lighting;it just didn't seem live.

A pretty low key affair really, but then who cares? it's the last one so they may be thinking "why bother?". I disagree about BB10 though, I think it was the best one since the first one, I suppose it just boils down to different people wanting different things from the show.

I must say I was hardly excited last night by the show. The new different format was interesting but none of the housemates chosen really stand out to me. Ok, the girls have got that pretty boy John James, what have us men got? Shabby? There aren't really any hot interesting women :P

The house is amazing, the Diary Room was a bit of a disappointment, even Davina sounded disappointed with the new Diary Room chair.

The series could get better, obviously it's only Day One. I really hope that they add some more housemates into the house as the series progresses, but judging by what Davina was saying we won't be seeing any additions :(
