Okay so I mentioned this in another thread but I think it deserves it's own...
Caoimhe, is from The ROI correct? And ROI is not considered part of GB... So, this chick could possibly turn out (if she's fun, interesting, funny etc) to be a house fave say 6-8 weeks in...
She could make it to the finals and yet, (and possibly beforehand?) if there's one of those votings that takes place for you to vote for your fave HM to stay in or w/e... The people she represents cannot vote for her, as the ROI are exempt from ever voting or entering any competitions here.
I say she's at a big disadvantage...

i think she'd have a better chance if we were allowed to vote but hopefully she can win the british over
The winners aren't dependant on people from their area voting for them lol if shes a good enough hm to win then she will.

Actually now I've thought about JJ probably has more of a disadvantage cos I'm sure Caoimhe has more friends here in the UK than he does; in fact he knows no-one right apart from v.distant family?
By that logic people from London are at an advantage than people from a rural village because there's more people living in London to vote for them

People dont vote based on where the HMs are for you know..
Well, a couple of sad people do, but generally people vote on how they are as a housemate.

I see what the OP is trying to say but it does seem like this regional or hometown idea doesn't necessarily hurt or help anyone after all.
Some people make the argument it can help you to be from outside a specific UK city or town because you don't get the 'biased against' inter-uk rivalry sort of votes against them.
But it does turn out that BB is more 'personal' after all and if Caoahezaeler herself as herself wins people over then she will get the votes regardless.
So far I don't mind Caoahelser and I never even thought about the ROI thing in that sense.

Well foreigners should not apply if they have a problem with that. If Irish people want to vote then get one of your relatives in the UK to vote on your behalf and give them the money!
And many other nationalities have been on the show too.

it depends on who likes her... not where she's from.

I think Caaihmoahser would have an advantage if the idea was to text message the name of the person you wanted voted out. Especially if up against Ben.

Ireland aren't part of the UK so shouldn't be allowed to vote.
Anyway, people should vote for their favourite personality not just because its where someone comes from..
Like the welsh voting glyn etc..

Once a local paper tried to ramp up support for a certain Albertan.. ...then it turns out he was a huge gay.
People here did try and vote him out but they wouldn't allow people outside the UK to do so.
Then they found out he was actually born in the UK and from then on nobody cared. That explained it.
