World Cup by far

More teams have a chance, their is more prestige and honour if you win the tournament overall, and its just one sport

Wow, that's a toughy for me. Love them both. The only thing I hate about the Olympics is all these mickey mouse sports coming in, and actually, I have a real prob with some of the professional sports being introduced to it.

Tough one, really tough, but I'd have to say the olympics, I don't think you can much better than winning an olympic gold medal for you and your country.

I love them both but personally the WC is far more enjoyable.

olympics is way more entertaining to watch than people kicking a ball into a net.

I didn't know the Olympics was still popular, I haven't heard about it since the time it was in Athens (2004 I think?). Were we not in the last one or something?

See, I've never understood that reasoning. Did you not watch Usain Bolt live? That was one of the greatest moment of athleticism I've ever witnessed. Spellbinding.

Ah David, I'm disappointed in you. I'll watch any sport that's on to be honest with you.

Only ones that really interest me are Football and Tennis. Will watch the Olympics if the UK are in it though.

I mean realistically, 4-5 nations have a chance of winning the Olympics like USA, Russia, China, Australia etc

Its much more varied in the World cup

All I want to ask is do the English fans still prefer the World Cup even when they're not involved?

To me the Olympics are a bigger deal.. They are a celebration of sport and sportsmen dating back from ancient times. I think the whole thing is very exciting.
However, I can understand a reall footie fan preferring the world cup :)
