Umm...since when?

BBLB are doing some form of competition, not watching it as such, its on in the background, but that is the second time I have heard emma say 'you must be over 16, and have parental consent' :/

I am probably missing something obvious, but I'm not understanding why 16 yr olds need parents consent to enter a competition...

Most of the time TV comps are 18 years of older. So the 16 and 17's need premission.?

It's probably got something to do with Big Brother being an adult show, and shouldn't be promoting it to minors. And also this task allows a viewer's task entry to be played to the housemates, so again there's probably rules permitting them from broadcasting minors on an adult TV show. That's what I reckon anyway.

thats a way out there comment, otherwise you wouldnt have children in horror films, or tv programs like Shameless.

Its presumably as most 16 years old still don't pay for bills (I said most) 18 really is the age of adult based on voting, drinking. 16 is just the age to work.

Duh its because 16 year olds are still classed as minors in the eyes of law until they reach legal adulthood at 18 when parental consent comes to an end

Because people between 16 - 18 don't usually pay the phone bill I guess :P just covering their backs.
