As always I have no idea what 2/5 or 3-1 or any of this means but it seems like people enjoy things like 'over-under' and whatever other gambling type things.

The good news for me - gambling addiction is highly unlikely due to total inability to grasp the basic math involved.

The number on the left is what you win for your stake on the right.

3/1 = Win 3 for every 1 you bet (plus your stake back0

5/2 = Win 5 for every 2

1/3 = Win 1 for every 3.

Evens = 1/1

In theory, a 3/1 should ''happen'' one in 3 times (but usually a bit less due to how the bookies make profit. The less you win, the more likely it is to occur (in theory). Anything above evens is seen as very likely.
