I have sky+ in my living room, which allows extra connection cables so I got a freesat box for my kids kind of play room thingy, so the toddler can watch cbeebies! Only need one dish and I dont have to give Rupert any extra money!

Have you got a Sky subscription, or are you just using a Sky box without a subscription? And if you are paying a subscription, is it worth the money?

You know you don't need the Sky box at all and you would still get all the freesat channels?

I pay subscription, I think its about 30 euro a month, no films or sports. I know I can get the freeview channels without a skybox, but for some reason I am addicted to style network and the food channels, discovery and crime too! I have very radom viewing habits!

We have a UPC cable box in the LR, and I wouldn't pay tupence for all those so-called premium channels like Comedy Gold and Dave and all that sh!t. They're just BBC repeats, with 20 mins of comercials for every one hour. Turn them on and it's 2/1 therell be an ad.

I have
Freesat HD (which connects to the Sky Dish)
SkyHD+
VirginHD+
and
SkyFreesat (which is a one off payment ,then Free)

SkyHD+ is the best control and sytem to use. (and with over 30HD channels )
FreesatHD is also good and fast to use (has more News channels than Virgin)
VirginHD+ is OK , plus it can record two at once, and record Radio

Not SkyFreesat proper Sky with over 900 channels.

Well that costs a Month
Fee.

SkyFreesat is good as you get more news channels than Virgin.

Of Course SkyHD is bliss
soon Virgin HD will have SkyMoviesHD and Sky SportsHD
under a New Joint deal.

Sky now owns Virgin 1 , Bravo and Living.

The irish people paid hundeds of millions and aviva chipped in to rebuild Landsdowne Road, yet Sy for their paltry few million a year want to dictate who can and who can't watch games there. That's plain wrong.

More to do with the blooddy politicans spending it all than it has to do with the euro, their own enquiry into the financial crisis blamed the government, now they haven't a clue what to do. Useless the bloody lot of them!

I have a freesat hd box, and there's a cable box with Dave and Comedy Gold and Paramount and Discovery etc. I try watching those channels but the amount of ads means I just can't. So for the money, the freesat wins hands down.

I have SkyHD+ with access to all sky channels and it costs me 0 that is zero pounds per month. Not only that but when they roll out sky3D I will have that at zero cost to self. A perk of having a son who is in charge of the local office for the firm that fits them.
