I get the feeling John loves getting compliments. The way he shamelessly pesters Josie is pathetic. I.e. asking her ''why'' he would be her friend's ''type'', relishing in being referred to as 'pretty boy', flirting around her in an effort to get his esteem higher etc etc says a lot about his character imo.

I have a feeling the reason he doesn't like Rachael is because he sees a lot of himself in her: i.e. he sees a shallow, self-obsessed wanabee and he does not like it.

He was so cocky in his VT and his attempts to come across as 'down to earth' don't wash with me.

And yes, he looks more like Paul Hogan and Owen Wilson's love child the more I think about it too :joker:

I'm sorry, but when you critique and observe a show such as BB, talking about the way they look/present themselves goes hand in hand with discussing personality.

I think it's the way in which he talks with her. I.e. constantly fishing for compliments, then claiming he doesn't go for good looking girls, then flipping it round to saying SHE'S 'in with a chance' etc etc.

It's a game he's clearly playing, which I've seen hundreds of times at Uni and college.

If he were genuine, then I don't see why both of them wouldn't date, but in this scenario, I'm just not buying a relationship between them could work.
