I generally do watch Question Time, but didn't see it last night. It will be essential viewing next week now, though. Someone from the audience is bound to take him to task about his racist and homophobic views, so it will be great to see him squirm and not able to escape.

I always watch it, and I will DEFINITELY be watching next week, for the same reasons that Charlotte has said.

Its a very entertaining show and this should be interesting.

Is this Dereks first step towards public office?

This is on tonight. This is from the Question Time website...

Question Time, the BBC's premier political programme, will be Newbury on Thursday, 17 November, 2005.

David Dimbleby will be joined by the Lord Chancellor Lord Falconer, David Willetts MP, Baroness Williams, Alice Miles of The Times, and speech writer and author Derek Laud.....

.....DEREK LAUD

Title: Speech writer and Author

Career: Derek Laud has just finished writing six children's stories.

He is a professional speech writer and wrote speeches for Baroness Thatcher. He was also a successful contestant in the Big Brother house earlier this year.

Derek is a campaigner for the Countryside Alliance and was a master of the foxhounds with the New Forest foxhounds.

Well, did you see it??

I thought he came across quite well, although he did seem very posh.

Well done to him for putting the boot into the Tories!

Having now watched it I was impressed with Derek. Like you cc100 I thought he did a good job of distancing himself from the views of the tory party he disliked. He might make a political commentator yet.

It doesn't seem that weird when I think of the haircut Craig had going in there.
