After becoming increasingly frustrated with the judge's egos on The X Factor, I have been watching Strictly Come Dancing on a Saturday night rather than support The X Factor, which I believe has become more about demoralising the contestants rather than searching for talent. :nono:

I have to say that I was mortified (yet not at all shocked) when Bill Turnbull and Karen Hardy were eliminated from SCD, as I thought that they were the most genuine, caring and likeable couple on the show, although, granted, not the best dancers!:rolleyes:

I thought Bill conducted himself brilliantly at the end of the results show, thanking Karen (his partner) for giving him the experience of a lifetime, whilst she blubbed at his words.

After all of the continuous fake sagas that the X Factor has seen, I shall continue to favour SCD, which I believe to be a much more credible and enjoyable programme, whilst still commenting on the goings on in the X Factor.

I know most posters on here are in favour of The X Factor, but I'd be interested to hear what you've got to say about the two in comparison - I know where my allegiance lies!!

I watch both actually. (VCR is a great invention!)

I like SCD because these celebs are really working hard, and putting themselves on the line, and generally loving and valuing the experience. It's all for charity, and I don't think any of them are really in it to further their careers. They are all pretty happy continuing with what they are already doing.

If you had seen the state of Bill Turnbull's ankle over the last three weeks, and he still kept training, soldiering on and taking the insults of the judges.

OK, it's family entertainment, but it's very enjoyable and you do get into it.

I recommend you give it another try folks

I absolutely love it. I trained in ballet and tap for over ten years and then did a bit of ballroom dancing (yes I know its not obvious but I did - honest) so can tell you that it is not easy what they are doing. To learn a completely new routine within a couple of days to their standard is very difficult and when they look out of breath at the end of a dance - that's not put on, to do a good ballroom jive or quickstep needs the fitness of a trained athlete. Good for them.

I did watch Strictly Dance Fever too, but like Rebecca it just didn't seem to have the same spark as SCD. Still great fun to watch though Imo!:thumbs:

Thanks for that Ant I wanted them to go

N.p.

No, although James was probably the worst dancers left. I can't stand Colin Jackson anymore. I sooo wanted him to go and Erin seems so full of herself.

Darren or Zoe to win.

Darren to win yeah:bouncy: Colin has gone a bit cocky

Yeah Colin's a cock! Don't like him.

Darren or Zoe for mE! :elephant:

I hope that Zoe wins because she has proved herself to be a great dancer and has changed a lot of people's opinion of her. However I think that this year they are determined that a male will win. Colin thinks he has it won, but Darren has a lot of support out there. Colin is a better dancer, but he is now too confident. He is a good ballroom dancer, but he isnt Anton when it comes to partnering Erin. I would personally like to see them all dance the same dance not have a choice. The judges are very biased this year and you know before they marks come up who will be top.

Yeah I didnt really like that as well about the judges this year BB.
