Shabby does that a lot. Her version of what he said bore almost no resemblance to what he actually said. If someone did that to her she'd throw a track.

Scabby really is incredibly stupid sometimes. In her desire to slag off Dave, she is slagging off his beliefs which are actually held by a considerable number of viewers no doubt. She just keeps finding new ways of offending people which bodes well for when she's up for eviction. I do not subscribe to any kind of organised religion, but I don't find it necessary to boost my ego by slagging off someone else's faith, especially behind his back.
