lol in fairness they asked the questions and surviving a bomb is probably quite memorable. He is hardly going to say "that time i had soup"

I think it is probably a pretty big thing in his life. If he had a tshirt saying "I survived the bomb," well that'd be taking it too far.

You're booing an ex military guy who survived a bomb blast in which he lost his legs because he says the most memorable moment in his life was surviving the bomb and because he says the tatoo that means the most to him is the bomb. I'm sorry, but you have no basis to boo him on. He's just answering the questions honestly. I'm with what pixee and gypsygoth said to be honest.

And he does not self pity at all, he's not really wanting people to feel sorry for him. He likes telling his life stories. What's the problem?

he does not go on about it all the time. People ask him about it. He answers the questions they ask. That is not "milking" anything

This thread is ridiculous.
First of all he hardly goes on about it but its a HUGE thing, he nearly died, he lost his legs and eye, of course he is greatful to be alive!

yes it would probably be more strange if he didnt talk about it

AGREED!!....Whether Steves your hero or not!!....The man must have been to hell and back!!....And has earned the right to boast 'a lot more than he does' about the most 'traumatic day and greatest elation' of his life!

What was you're greatest day Simonsays?

Wonder if it matches with Steves?:nono:

People on this site do make me laugh sometimes. I swear if Steven Hawkings went in the house they would say that he's using the voicebox for sympathy!
