BB - Is this even a 'show' anymore?

It's just occured to me that BB is ****. It's for people that like to judge other people that they don't even know. It's surreal to me that people can actually hate on other people on tv that they know nothing about! Mad! It's also surreal to me that people think certain HMs are 'vile', or on the other end of the spectrum, 'legends'. I just don't get it - It's 14 people in a house fgs! Man, why did I even watch this show in the first place?!

I used to like this show, but from tonight, for reasons unknown to me, I don't even know why I ever saw the point in this show from the beginning! I feel sorry for people that go on this show, and the people that religiously 'follow' it. I can definitely see why this show has been cancelled.

From series 1, to about series 3, it was a nice 'experiment'. However, from about series 5 onwards, it's been a bitch-fest. I hate Sezer, I hate Grace, I want Shabnam dead, I want Bea dead.... do you even know these people?! BB has become a 'show' for people to vent their frustration on others, period. Is BB even a 'show' anymore? IMO no - BB is not a 'show' anymore, but rather a nasty chat-room.

So to sum up, bye everyone. It's been a nice run. I've seen interesting discussions on this board. But on the other hand, I've also seen some disturbing ****.

I haven't watched BB before this series and only came on here to find out if a HM was the same person of that name and description I know. I agree that it's a show "for people that like to judge other people that they don't even know."

I do agree to you about forum members hating housemates, calling them vile, wanting them dead etc. I dislike some of them, but don't hate them...after all it is just a show.

any real BB fan has been through what your saying but at the end of the day its just a entertainment program don't take it too seriously! and tbh in BB3 jade goody was the most hated women in the world she was the PIG even producers was scared for her but it was all okay at the end.

With BB since you watch them 24/7 it feels AS IF you actually know them, even though you haven't personally spoken to them. But if you watch someone for many many weeks 24/7, and you see all of their behavior, I don't think it's 'unfair' to say you hate them.

No one sees anyone 24/7, and people who watch feeds see HMs more often than most see their best friends or worst enemies, and we still make judgments about those people in our lives.

The show isn't as good as it was when it began, but no series 11 seasons long is. Pretty useless abandoning ship now because the show is practically over, but logic doesn't seem to be your strong suit.

He's right. However it does make compelling viewing, made even more compelling when you see how people react outside the house (like here for example).

I gave up after a few years and I'm only watching now as my mate is in the house. It's amazing to see the comments about him when they obviously don't know him. I try not to get the hump about though as I know what people are like.
