He is probably the least favorite as a whole, I don't understand. This guy is a nutjob and is entertainment gold :conf::elephant:

He isn't a nut job at all - people way overreact to him! But I agree he is interesting and entertaining!

I can never understand the Dave hate. Like I do agree that the drunk on God **** is ridiculously irritating, but thats only like 10% of the time and the rest of the time he's very harmless. Plus anyone who can get Caoimhe and Rachael up is good in my books.

He's really good at challenges, is putting up the people I don't like for eviction and he's bat **** crazy.
He's made me laugh more than any other house guest so far. Not to mention, I'm starting to get a sadistic kick out of seeing how much hatred people are filled with when hearing him talk about being intoxicated by the love of the lord.

I don't think he sucks up, he is just a friendly guy that likes to get on with everyone - nothing wrong with that!

I HATE the way he says 'Our Lord', it's really nauseating. And he looks drooly and slothful and full of self importance. Definite god complex. Yuck.

He's one of my fave housemates, yeah his "lord" stuff is stupid, but he's a funny and cool guy in my opinion.

I agree. In the snippets of real conversation that sneak through the edit I find him surprisingly down to earth. I do get creeped out by his fondling and caressing with Ben though - it's like watching 2 male juvenile chimps constantly mutual grooming - and the obvious social implications therein.
I think I get why he's got haters though - he's not good looking (so unlike JJ, the stuff he says is not excusable), he's on the intelligent side of the house (therefore boring), he is unlikely to goad or instigate trouble (therefore boring), the complete disregard to the fact that his god stuff is odd (alternative lifestyle threatens the sheep).... oh and according to the HMs, the way he likes to know when tea's ready... the freak.

cos its trendy and pc to have a go at him cos he 's a christian so he MUST be a bore/baddy.
The only religion that we are allowed to slag off in this country:nono:
I feel sorry for the ones that have such a problem that HE has a belief in anything while they are just anti any religion( as long as its christianity)

I don't hold with his religious views, but I have to say it doesn't offend me. When JJ kicked off with him last night saying some really insulting things about the Bible, he didn't rise to it, he laughed and made a joke about it - which JJ instantly took the wrong way, being the absolute tool he is.
If someone's a Christian and believes in the Bible, then that's down to them. Had it been a Muslim in there reading the Koran, I'm sure JJ would have had a little more... if not respect then certainly restraint.

I just find him extremly irritating to watch! the drunk on god freaks me out, lasts night HL when reading the bible he was acting so strange, just as if he was stoned, it is spooky as'
I would be interested how other devoute (sp) christians feel about this.
I am from Cardiff and ( also a CCFC, like dave) I can not help but feel embarressed by him, he just seems so unnateral.
He too touchy feely, actually Ive never know the bb house to be so full of touchy feely men to men.
I dont hate him by he is certainly up there with the creepiest

If you are creeped out by his religious views and the fact that a man is a naturally tactile person - then the problem is yours, not his!

He is a nutjob if he believes he can be drunk on god!
I'm not saying he doesn't believe it himself, but the man is clearly not all there...
And no doubt many more conventional religious types could find him offensive, as could people suffering from illnesses which he claims he can cure, as well as homosexuals who he thinks are un-natural...

I see your point, I just have a problem believing, his intoxiacate lark.. although it metaphore. I understand that many people get comfort from reading the bible and going to church and praying ( in the past I have myself), but I dont understand Dave. and to me It feels/comes across more like a mocking... just my opinion

It's a fairly well documented phenomenon. It's a sort of hypnotic state entered into by meditation, only they are convinced of it spiritual origins. It can take many different forms. Just think about some of the gospel stuff you might have seen on the telly where they get right in to the music and start swooning and convulsing or the guys in Thailand that can put hooks into their body or knives through there faces. It's the same kind of thing except Dave feels euphoric. It's a big shame that some more stupid people take him literally when he says he gets "drunk" on the lord.

I've done a complete turn-about on Dave. I didn't like him at all when he went in - then I developed a begrudgingly respected for him - and now I think he's a star.
He demonstrates a level of respect for ALL the other HMs which puts the others to shame, he's very funny, he stands his corner well, and never rises to the goading of his fellow Hms.
Drunk on God? I don't know what that means, but it's important to him and doesn't make him any less intelligent and funny.
I really want him in the final :cheer2:

While I have my fair share of issues with Dave, the man deserves to go the distance for selecting not one, but two probable evictees. He is playing them like a violin. :joker:
