As a huge BBUK and smaller BBUS fan I cant believe my dream is coming true: an orthodox jewish houseguest! As an Orthodox Jew I always wondered how a religious jewish person would manage in a BB house with Kosher restrictions and Sabbath observance etc. and I'm about to find out. It is easier to be Jewish in the US version because the BB staff are slightly more tolerant of things like bringing your own cooking utensils, prayer gear etc.,but still, it will be difficult for him, and it should be interesting watching. I hope as a Jewish person it wont make me cringe but proud.

This should be great!

It will be interesting to see what happens on the Saturday tasks because that's the day of the Sabbath.

I know. If it won't involve forbidden things like writing, tearing using electrical equipment etc he should be fine. what tasks are on saturday? The POV? I assume he wont be gagging for the HOH too often so he doesnt have to do POV. I'm more concerned about him not getting into too many fights with the other HGs due to his special restrictions.

on BBUK they'd have a much harder time due to the Friday night evictions, the stricter food rations and the touchy-feelyness of the HGs. (there isnt that much cheek kissing in the US!)

POV is on saturday. he's screwed. He wont be able to partake in half the tasks.
I give this guy 2 weeks.

Considering he's being filmed 24/7 isn't he effectively using electrical equipment on the Saturday? What about the microphone, does that count too? Isn't he effectively working if he provides producers with any footage to use in the show?

Usually the PoV is on the Saturday, and the houseguests entered yesterday too and presumably had their first food or HoH comp - which with BBUS are usually quite big affairs for the premiere, so bound to involve some electrics somewhere.

It could work in his favour though if the tasks he can't compete in are the ones where he can win some kind of power. It would be advantageous to keep him in knowing when it comes to the Veto at least he is not a threat.

I'm not watching BB USA as in the UK and have a restricted BB line. It would have been great to have an observant Jew on BBUK

So how is Andrew getting on?

It would be intersting to see not just how he handled Shabbat and Kashrus in the house but Lashon Hora and Maris Ayin.

I like Andrew, though I think the others find him wierd and possibly the saboteur. He makes me laugh.

There is something shady about Andrew, I don't know if it's just the way they edited it, but they was asking him if he was the Saboteur & he just stood there with his arms folded smiling & not denying it..
