Its a stupid idea, the crowd either will be told to be quiet (doubtful), they'll boo or cheer ben (he'll know the public view on him), HM's will be thinking he's been evicted (or watch it on the TV), and the crowd will shout stuff about other HMs, which Ben will then blab (probably only to Dave and Mario so they have the "inside" view)

Mixed feelings on it, interesting how Ben will cope and if its like hes been evicted but then finds out what he has to do. On the other hand they arnt spose to have contact to the outside world........

Good....thats what its all about....it fuels the sense of paranoia and helplessness associated with this kind of social experiment.

People have lost sight of what the BB concept is all about. Its not an effing talent contest or audition for wannabee status, although its been hijacked by many a waste-of-space who fall into the last category.

Throw a bunch of nobodies into a situation together and traumatise them to see how they act and interact through certain situations.

Unfortunately BB has lost its basic functionality over the years.

It's probably the hardest task ever. I dont like Ben, he's plain old dim and lacks humour but I kind of feel sorry for him with this task.

When does Ben go outside tonight, is it during the HL show or the eviction show.

But is it hard? What does he have to do to succeed? And it's not like they have chosen someone who can't talk well or who isn't used to being on TV.

I'd like to see you get up in front of a hostile audience and do a stand up routine! Not one of the other HMs in the house would be able to do it, so don't let's minimise how difficult it's going to be. Having said that I think Ben is going to be okay, just judging by how hilarious he is anyway without even trying. The stand up routine is part of the shopping task, isn't it? so he'll either pass or fail and they have to pass 3 out of 5.

What I find odd is that IF this is a TOT punishment for Ben, how did BB know that Ben would be the one doing the Stand Up since the HMs all had to decide between themselves who would do what?

The Eviction Show apparently. I guess they're going to make him and the other HMs think he is being evicted by saying after the first eviction "the second person leaving the BB house tonight is..................Ben!".

I think that his stand up comedy will be before the actual eviction because after they go to the eviction interview.

To answer your question (on lf yesterday afternoon)

The TOT told him when the task came he had to make sure he was "stand up". He didn't seem to realize what it was about until the task was announced and he said to Shabby, "I'll do the stand up". Nobody else said they wanted that part so he just got it.

I said this before, BB dropped the ball on this. They should never have announced it ahead of time. They should just have sprung it on us. The ripple effect would have been massive and it would have been more of an incentive to watch future eviction nights - which this is clearly an attempt to do in the very short term.

They attempted to be ever so clever with their Play on Words which succeeded for about 5 minutes.

it is a shame for ben in a way, hes not the houses funniest person is he, I doubt his humour would even make his fellow HM's laugh (maybe mario and dave) let alone a crowd of people. I think he'll be fine though, BB have told him whats happening, and he told the HMs (which I think has ruined it, no suprise now!)

Don't agree with that,Ben has had most of the housemates laughing at some point while being in there,he IS very funny even without telling jokes,I suppose it depends on your sense of humour.
