And yet I expect he considers his own blind faith to be perfectly valid.

In fact it would be very ignorant of us to assume that we are the only beings in the universe(?) considering we don't even know how far it goes on for and probably never will.

There are some religions that subscribe to the view that "gods" are "aliens" - isn't Scientology one of them? In fact Scientology has some very high profile followers like John Travolta and Tom Cruise.

Dave has got the wrong angle on Mario. What really makes Mario difficult to take seriously is the way he subscribes to all sorts of conspiracy theories.

What because you cant believe in one and not the other? Where is it written in the bible thou shalt not believe in aliens?...The point is he said he'd like to believe in them if only they "existed"...whilst whole heartedly believing in something that doesnt exist

As ever, totally missing the point.

I am suggesting in the OP that they are all equally unprovable subjects of blind belief (at this point in time), so it is hypocritcal to laugh at one while subscribing to another.

Fair point, but you could say that about every single person who believes in any relegion and/or aliens.

Is it hypocritical for a scientist to discount 'god' yet believe in aliens? Is it hypocritical not to believe in Islam but to believe in Christianity.

You could even go as far as to say is it hypocritical to 'believe in' Oxygen, but not to believe in god.

I don't think Mario believes in aliens at all. It's just like his issue with the 'secret', he's trying to make himself interesting to the viewers.

I think its ridiculous tbh for dave to s****** on about someone elses 'blind' beliefs...or for any religious person to really.

And it is far more likely that 'aliens' exist, than 'god' anyway.

However I think Mario is more into the aliens assisting governments and staying hidden to the general public conspiracy theory.

God on the other hand, well thats simply a matter of faith. I would like to think one existed, I would also like to think the ****er would listen to me for once and let one of my occasional lottery tickets win a reasonable amount. I ask him to make it a winner every time I buy one.

if the alien conspiracy theory is true, that aliens have visited us for centuries and influence politics etc, then they ARE the gods that were spoke about in history

I dont believe either God or Aliens have spoke or visited us ever

but I do believe there is plenty of intelligent life in the universe

shame there isnt much on our planet :joker:

It does make me laugh how God botherers can be so dismissive of any life other than on Earth... I mean God created the universe (apparently) then all these different galaxys & planets, yet only put life on one of them??
