Yes, what Star says here.... he has had an extremely kind edit and a lot of free camera time from BB.

He is also a TV professional, put into the house by his agent, so that does make a difference in how he composes himself.

people like him as people are different thank God,same as we like different things in all walks of life,we obviously see things in Ben that others don't,same for other housemates,I guess it depends on your outlook on things,imo Ben is one of the best housemates ever.

Despite all the haters he's in top three betting odds to win, and tops the polls on this and other forums as most favourite HM and that's because he's provided most of the entertainment in the house. Everything could change dramatically when they bring the new HMs in, but I think new blood will just provide more people for Ben to bounce off of. So far he is the teflon man - BB keep throwing sh*t at him, and it just keeps sliding off!

I probably wouldn't give him the time of day in the real world but warmed to him a few days in because of the bullying he received. He has subsequently revealed himself to be a complex, kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable and above all eccentric character, all of which gets bonus points in my book. It's just a pity he doesn't possess any "street smarts" whatsoever. I am struggling to pick a favourite in this years house but wouldn't be too annoyed if he won - as long as I didn't have to see him on my telly ever again. Of course it will never happen - he has a few billion too many brain cells for UK general public to vote him a winner.

To answer the OP, I dare say that most of Ben's fans would be compassionate people who can see beyond the bumbling toff exterior.

Also Ben is far from confrontational, the reason that there are a lot of "arguments" happening around him is because he alway seems to find himself in the position of defending himself against the multitude of jibes and accusation from the HM who seem use him as a verbal punch bag to gain airtime. Simples. :D
