I think one of Shabby's major problems is she tends to see 'sides' in everything. She doesn't see a group of people as a group of people - albeit made up of people she will and won't get along with, she just sees a group as 'us' and 'them', best friends and worst enemies with a very clear divide, and the best friends eventually seem to become worst enemies. It's very extreme with her, no middle ground. I think Eye Sea's right, she has pretty much alienated herself. I do feel sorry for her though... it must be such a lonely existence.

I'd like to know a psychologist's thoughts on this.

because dave had just spent over an hour having a heart to heart with her which she thanked him for then she said she is going to lie on her bed or find a quiet corner to have some time to herself thats why you see dave leaving her there.

yes he was great last night very reassuring with what he said to her then he let her have some space and when he saw she was upset he didnt crowd her he just let her friend know she might be in need of a hug.
dave came out of last night with a lot of credit he is a great bloke.
